Contributing to Common Platform
posted by Steve Bowbrick
If you’d like to contribute to the Common Platform project there are several simple things you can do:
- Write something for the blog. Drop me a line if you’ve got a good idea for a blog post and I’ll put my editor’s hat on and see if it fits the brief. I’m looking for interesting perspectives on opening up the BBC: sharing content, assets and resources with the outside world, breaking down barriers between creators inside and outside the corporation, moving the BBC into the post-broadcast networked world, updating the corporation’s public service obligations etc. etc. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from…
- Send me links for the sidebar. Anything of relevance (from inside or outside the BBC: your blog, for instance) that you think ought to have a link from the Common Platform blogroll, send me the URL and a description and I’ll put it up.
- Tag interesting web pages ‘commonplatform’ at del.icio.us. Links will show up in the Common Platform sidebar over there and on the ‘commonplatform’ tag page at del.icio.us.
- Tag pictures ‘commonplatform’ at flickr. They’ll show up over there in the sidebar.
- Help me with the blog. Got any interesting ideas for improving the blog, especially the design? Drop me a line, especially if you’re a WordPress Wizard. I could do with the help!
